Canadian Music Kicks Tail

Get ready for a big brassy helping of Canadiana! The BBQ proudly presents a concert of all-Canuck music, from Canadian pop culture staples to folk melodies from across the Great White North. Strap on your blades for Hockey Night in Canada. Choose a dance partner for The Log Driver’s Waltz. Experience unique takes on classics by Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Maynard Ferguson, The Tragically Hip, and more!

The BBQ will be joined for this show by outstanding singer and guitarist Michael Dalton. The concert will culminate in a spectacular joint performance of Gordon Lightfoot’s Canadian Railroad Trilogy!

Admission is $20 at the door or $15 advance online. Doors open at 2:00 PM. Showtime is 2:30 PM.

About the BBQ

The Bedford Brass Quintet (BBQ) has performed acclaimed shows at concert halls, bandstands, churches and schools throughout Nova Scotia. Known for an eclectic repertoire and outside-the-box performances, the group features accomplished musicians who have played with many of Atlantic Canada’s finest ensembles, including Symphony Nova Scotia, the PEI Symphony Orchestra, the Nanaimo Symphony Orchestra, Neptune Theatre, and many more. The BBQ has twice been voted among the best classical ensembles in Halifax by readers of The Coast.
